Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in quality control or manufacturing (or equivalent experience/training).
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable using tools like micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches and multimeters.
  • The ability to think critically and make sound decisions about product quality.
  • A self-starter mindset, ready to take initiative and own your work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PDM systems, ERP/MRP software, and Google Suits is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough end-of-line inspections and testing on all Arctic products, ensuring compliance with, and proper execution of, our quality standards.
  • Accept or reject products based on sound reasoning, communicating effectively with the production team and supporting departments.
  • Identify and problem-solve product or part issues that do not meet quality standards, applying innovative thinking when necessary.
  • Assist with first article and routine incoming quality inspections of raw materials and components to ensure compliance with speed and efficiency.
  • Record, organize, and report data findings for regularly scheduled quality meetings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure the results we receive are at the quality standards we've set.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining various certifications.
  • Recommend necessary adjustments and/or improvements to production processes for optimized efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Draft Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) when opportunities for improvement arise.
  • Support resolution of customer, manufacturing, quality, and technical issues in collaboration with other departments as a quality expert.
  • Use tools and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, lifting devices, micrometers, dial calipers, multimeters, and more.
  • Take the initiative during downtime to assist in other departments such as Warehousing and Shipping, including assembling shipping crates, preparing items for shipment, and handling inventory.
