About The Position

Perform on-line inspections on component and finished product audits. Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles statistical data (location specific) to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Releases conforming lots, documents non-conforming lots and assures record accuracy for traceability according to established inspection procedures and work instructions. Supports and documents the results of the calibration system, test method validation and pest management systems (location specific).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0-3 years of work experience or equivalent.
  • Math and problem-solving skills equivalent to a high school education.
  • 3+ years of work experience or equivalent under limited supervision.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of work experience or equivalent and/or certification (CQT, CQI, CQA etc.) through a recognized body such the ASQ American Society of Quality and works under limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of process capability.
  • Test Method Validation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product verification by visually examining, inspecting, approving or rejecting incoming materials, WIP or finished goods according to established standards and ensure accurate documentation according to established procedures.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained to ensure traceability according to established procedures.
  • Perform data collection; interpret and analyze information to provide recommendation for solution and continuous improvement (location specific).
  • Performs visual inspection and operates various measuring tools to verify and release products by measuring dimensional characteristics as well as other product performance characteristics such as porosity, seal strength, material thickness, basis weight and coat weight (location specific) per current inspection procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process testing and production line monitoring on all selected processes deemed critical to the finished product. In-process testing, and line monitoring will include verifying conformance to written specifications, good documentation practices, general product conformance, process parameter monitoring (location specific), confirmatory testing and general conformance to good manufacturing practices including gowning, calibration, product segregation and identification, cleanliness, safety and other related items.
  • Prepares certifications of analysis (location specific) and conformance for finished goods.
  • Monitor and recommend improvements to processes to assure component/product procedures.
  • Participates on the internal auditing team.
  • Investigates QIRs and customer complaints. Works with internal team to ensure timely and effective CAPA responses.
  • Monitors the calibration system and performs and schedules various in-house and vender related calibration activities (location specific).
