About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting product quality through dimensional inspection, documentation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration. This role uses standard metrology equipment to verify the company product meets engineering requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and measurement accuracy.
• Ability to document inspection results and technical findings accurately and thoroughly.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds at times.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Pass the pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using metrology and dimensional inspection equipment.
• Experience within a manufacturing or machine shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Measure parts using precision tools and specialized machines to make sure they match the correct dimensions designated on blueprints or established tolerances.
• Refer to engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality measurement standards to ensure precision.
• Help investigate and determine why returned items failed and ensure that quality standards are updated & maintained throughout all departments.
• Track inspection results and share quality updates with Quality Manager and occasionally with the production, engineering, and assembly teams.
• Help other departments when needed.
• This position is expected to cross-train across multiple departments.
• Possess the willingness to assist with quality improvement efforts and support continuous improvement activities.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
