About The Position

The Quality Control Technician ensures the integrity and safety of both raw ingredients and finished goods through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety standards and quality assurance practices in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in a quality assurance or quality control role
  • Understanding of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Quality Assurance or Food Safety, such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP certification, is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within Quality Control
  • Experience with sunflower seed processing or similar food production processes.
  • Knowledge of sensory evaluation techniques and methods.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods for compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform various quality samples on raw materials and finished products, including moisture content, purity, and foreign material detection.
  • Document test results and analyze data to identify trends and potential quality issues.
  • Ensure that all quality control activities follow industry regulations and company policies, including food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control measures, including detailed reports and logs.
  • Prepare and review quality documentation, including certificates of analysis and quality reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other relevant standards.
  • Participate in internal audits and inspections and assist with the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and investigate quality issues, working closely with production staff to determine root causes and implement solutions.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of quality issues.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions.
  • Occasional support at nearby processing facilities
  • Other duties as assigned
