About The Position

Ditsch USA is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join their Cincinnati team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will support food safety and product quality by performing checks on products, materials, documentation, packaging, labeling, and production processes. You will help ensure Ditsch USA’s pretzel products meet company standards, customer expectations, and food safety requirements. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining the quality, safety, and consistency of Ditsch USA’s food manufacturing process. You will complete quality checks, review documentation, support production teams, and help identify and communicate any food safety or product quality concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to read, document, and communicate production and quality information in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and a safety- and quality-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 lbs., and moving throughout the manufacturing floor.
  • Able to work in varying temperatures and active production areas with flashing lights, horns, and powered moving equipment nearby.
  • Able to wear required PPE, follow GMP and safety requirements, and work weekends or holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of quality experience in manufacturing preferred; food manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, or food safety practices is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality checks on finished products, raw materials, packaging, labels, production processes, weights, temperatures, color, strength, and packaging accuracy.
  • Complete daily food safety and quality reviews, documenting findings and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Review production records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Investigate quality or food safety concerns and support case audits when needed.
  • Verify labeling and packaging meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, complete data entry, and support inspections of raw and finished goods.
  • Support calibration checks to help ensure measuring equipment remains accurate.
  • Partner with production teams to reinforce quality, food safety, and GMP practices on the floor.
