About The Position

Duininck is a third-generation family-led company focused on building strong communities. Duininck Concrete, headquartered in West Central Minnesota, serves its clients as industry experts, providing guidance and support for projects of any scale. This seasonal, full-time position involves performing field and lab tests on ready-mix concrete to ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, and DOT standards as part of a portable crew. The role requires working at various job sites for extended periods, including overnight travel. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in concrete testing and mix performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site for extended periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I certification within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certification within 12 months of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors
• Valid driver’s license (regularly required to drive and navigate to job sites)

Nice To Haves

• MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certified
• NRMCA Certified Concrete Technologist, Level 3
• NRMCA Certified Concrete Technologist, Level 4

Responsibilities

• Conduct slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature tests.
• Collect and document concrete samples from production sites.
• Assist with mix adjustments to maintain quality.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Accurately record and report test results.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
