Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required
  • 1+ year of laboratory experience
  • Basic math skills are essential
  • Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and partners.
  • Basic proficiency in common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Willingness and availability to work in a shift-based schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Laboratory experience that includes inspection/measurement/testing equipment
  • 1 year of experience in the medical device manufacturing
  • Associate’s degree in science related field

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming material, in-process and final product inspections and testing to ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and quality specifications.
  • Conduct various tests, including viscosities, gel times, and peel strength.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results for accuracy and precision against established specifications.
  • Support production with process testing and ensure safe, appropriate lab practices are followed.
  • Utilize measuring devices, testing equipment, and standardized methods to determine product acceptance or rejection.
  • Maintain daily quality logs, history files, and support product retain program.
  • Monitor lab equipment calibration and report discrepancies.
  • Follow predefined operating procedures, customer specifications, and checklists.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the QC lab, including cleaning and equipment upkeep.
  • Perform environmental monitoring of manufacturing areas.
  • Review sterilization reports as it pertains to product release.
  • Generate product barcode data and labels in compliance with internal procedures and recognized standards.
  • Perform routine tasks under close supervision and communicate straightforward information with minimal need for interpretation.
  • Participates in CAPA activities to drive corrective actions and closure of CAPA within prescribed timelines.
  • Compiles Device Historical Records including review of sterilization records.
  • Support validation and capability studies.
