About The Position

The QC Tech assists in ensuring products or services meet established quality standards by performing administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and record-keeping related to quality control processes. The role involves preparing parts/merchandise for storage and/or shipment, verifying part condition against orders, assisting with inventory audits or handling returns, and following all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
Forklift certification. Training and certification available.
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear.
Primarily on their feet for long periods of time.
Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. For heavier merchandise lifting devices and/or assistance is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience is a benefit but is not required.
New members will be provided with the proper training and equipment to do the job at task.

Responsibilities

Effectively communicates and resolves any discrepancies from the customer’s order specifications.
Prepares parts/merchandise for storage and/or shipment using proper bagging, tagging, wrapping and packaging to prevent damage.
Verifies part condition and damage against order using ARA damage locators as it relates to inspecting merchandise and maintaining quality control.
Assist with tasks such as inventory audits or handling returns.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
