About The Position

American Pest is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor with a background in entomology, biology, or a related life science to join their team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in entomology, biology, environmental health/science, or a similar life science, OR Board Certified Entomologist from the Entomological Society of America with a specialty in urban pest management.
  • 3+ years of pest control experience.
  • Current and valid state-issued pest control registrations/licenses/certifications.
  • Ability to complete required NPMA Pest Management Standards for Food Processing & Handling Facilities.
  • Ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out-of-the-way areas, and position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces.
  • Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, PestPac, etc.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Solid attention to detail and experience with following Commercial Service Protocols.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with occasional exceptions).
  • Availability to work some weekends and evenings for on-call support.
  • Ability to work remotely for administrative tasks and/or travel long distances to meet with clients within our service area.

Nice To Haves

  • Pest control registrations/licenses/certifications including Category 7A, B, C, D, and E.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating the performance of service technicians in the field.
  • Auditing day-to-day completed service tickets.
  • Contributing to the training and professional development of service technicians.
  • Providing safe and effective pest management solutions.
  • Evaluating new and existing customers' needs.
  • Maximizing required performance for SQF audits for food processing and handling facilities.
  • Keeping records of quality control audits for government and commercial third-party audited accounts.
  • Submitting reports to management as required.
  • Ensuring the delivery of stellar customer service.
