About The Position

The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling QC Inspectors, conducting investigations for non-conformance and product complaints, training and supervising document review personnel, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. This role involves reviewing batch records, finished goods, and assisting with audits and customer inspections.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Diploma or Bachelor degree (Life Sciences, Engineering, related profession).
  • Five+ years industry or related experience in cosmetic, device, food, or pharma.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Specification development skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of QC Inspectors for various areas including Bulk Mfg, Production/Assembly lines, and Warehouse FG auditing.
  • Conducting non-conformance, product complaints, and out-of-specification investigations, and providing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Training and supervising document review personnel and batch release personnel.
  • Issuing certificates of conformance (COC), certificates of manufacture (COM), and certificates of analysis (COA) to customers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of approved, quarantined, and rejected products.
  • Ensuring compliance with all SOPs and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO 13485:2003).
  • Reviewing finished goods with the shipping department for release and compliance to customer requirements.
  • Working closely with the Quality Assurance/Quality Systems Department on all aspects of Quality and Compliance.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of QC inspection requirements for components, raw materials, in-process/bulk, and finished goods.
  • Ensuring in-process activities in Manufacturing or Production/Assembly areas are conducted by QC inspectors for conformance to specifications and following up on out-of-specifications.
  • Participating in In-process Quality in-house and outside training programs.
  • Conducting periodic analysis of the In-process Inspection program and making recommendations.
  • Assisting in interpreting and/or developing customer specifications and requirements for assembly/packaging.
  • Assisting in establishing production and assembly inspection information sheets and documentation.
  • Maintaining and updating the ERP System and the repository of batch records/documents.
  • Reviewing batch records, work sheets, and Inspection documentation for completeness and correctness.
  • Conducting non-conformance resolutions, complaint investigations, and associated corrective and preventative actions.
  • Reviewing QC Inspection reports daily for correctness and completeness.
  • Facilitating on-site customer inspections, coordinating product availability, and communicating disposition.
  • Maintaining awareness and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Reviewing Production and in-process related information on batch records/documents.
  • Ensuring finished goods, bulk, raw materials, and components are maintained correctly in the warehouse and other holding areas.
  • Assisting in the review and release of finished products.
  • Performing supplier and vendor audits, as well as mock recall and internal audits.
  • Performing any additional duties or assignments as directed by the Supervisor.
