Arthrex is actively searching for a Quality Control Supervisor to support our Pendleton, SC manufacturing facility on Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00a to 6:00p). Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 5 years’ experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance positions required.
  • Knowledge of testing equipment and applicable national standards relating to testing (i.e. ASTM standards, etc).
  • Familiarity in operating all test and inspection equipment used in Quality Control.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal, military, FDA, ISO and EN specifications.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC and programs, particularly Excel, Word (or equivalents if changed by the Company), SAP or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning software.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
  • Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
  • Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in related field preferred
  • 2 years or more of supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the efforts of the Quality Control Inspectors for a specific work shift.
  • Schedule work assignments and assign tasks. Observe work as it is performed to ensure it is done properly and safely.
  • Ensure that QC Inspectors are properly trained in all inspection equipment, techniques, and Work Instructions.
  • Ensure adequate Train-The-Trainer resources to comply with competency training requirements.
  • Maintain efficient work flow, work assignments and throughput standards.
  • Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the team’s performance (Safety, Productivity, and Quality of Work) and initiate actions as needed to maintain performance.
  • Confer with supervisors from other departments to coordinate operations and activities and meets with managers or subordinates to resolve issues.
  • Identify inspection equipment and gages needed to adequately perform inspections required by Inspection Plans (IP Sheets, RI cards), and report those needs to Quality Control Management.
  • Identify Quality Control Inspector staffing needs to support the business needs and communicate to Quality Control Management.
  • Support compliance with the Arthrex Employee Resource Guide (ERG) and human resources standards for employee behaviors.
  • Support Internal and External Audits as the Quality Control Subject Matter Expert as needed.
  • Evaluate employees through performance reviews.
