About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist 1 contributes to consistent product quality, improved customer satisfaction, reduced defects and waste, and continuous organizational improvement. The role helps ensure that installed products meet or exceed expectations. The teammate maintains quality-control records, supports site audits and troubleshooting, reports project QC activities, reviews project documents, and participates in training with QC and project teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of construction or fabrication experience.
• OSHA 10.
• Basic computer skills.

• Understanding of codes and standards.
• Understanding of project documents.
• Understanding of quality system processes.
• Ability to perform light work, including adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.
• Ability to perform repeated motions that may involve the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Responsibilities

• Input, maintain, and track deficiencies in the QC software system.
• Assist more senior technicians with troubleshooting problems and identifying solutions.
• Conduct visual inspections to verify installed products meet project requirements, company standards, and local codes.
• Document and communicate the progress, findings, and outcomes of project quality-control activities.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness, identifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing information related to drawings and specifications.
• Attend training sessions with QC and project team members.
• Complete at least twenty continuing education hours or obtain a professional certification by December 31 of each year.
