About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist ensures new accounts, account maintenance, and supporting documents are compliant, accurate, and meet Quality Control standards. This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining exception items related to account opening or maintenance procedures. The specialist will read and understand legal documentation for business and consumer accounts, provide operational support to branch staff, and serve as a backup for other positions as assigned. The role also involves enhancing career through work experience and continuing education, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and participating in examinations, audits, and third-party reviews. Compliance with the Information Security Program and maintaining a high level of risk and security awareness are crucial. The position aims to establish a good image for the Bank by being active and visible in the community, attending meetings as assigned, and developing a working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services to provide quality customer service, build relationships, and exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One year of previous experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas, as business needs dictate.
  • Close up visual attention to detailed materials and effective hearing/verbal communication skills are needed.
  • Must make accurate visual inspection of printed and/or written materials.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Regular customer service problem solving using established variables.
