This role is intended for an experienced professional who can independently perform quality-control and reporting assignments, coordinate defined improvements, and provide analytical recommendations. It is positioned above an entry-level analyst role but below a senior, lead, or enterprise-level subject matter expert classification.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, business analysis, operational analytics, reporting, compliance, or a related discipline. Including at least 1 year of experience performing quality reviews, compliance monitoring, audit support, data validation, or performance improvement activities.
Experience using SQL for data extraction and analysis, including joins, filtering, aggregations, and business rule logic.
Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, or a comparable business intelligence platform.
Experience using Python or another scripting language to support analytics, automation, or data quality validation.
Knowledge of KPI development, data quality concepts, requirements gathering, process analysis, testing, and documentation practices.
Ability to interpret client, contractual, operational, or regulatory requirements and translate them into measurable controls, reporting specifications, or business rules.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and data storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle protected, confidential, and regulated information in accordance with applicable privacy, security, and organizational requirements.
Reliable broadband internet is required for telework. Connection requirements should follow current organizational standards.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience working in healthcare, Medicaid, government, public sector, or other highly regulated environments.
Experience supporting client contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), performance guarantees, or regulatory reporting requirements.
Knowledge of Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, or business process re-engineering methodologies.
Experience with data governance, metadata management, data lineage, report certification, or data-quality management practices.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power BI and/or Power Automate.
Experience working within Azure or AWS environments or partnering with data engineering and cloud platform teams.
Relevant professional certification in business analysis, quality management, data analytics, Power BI, Lean Six Sigma, auditing, or project management.
Experience coordinating projects, facilitating cross-functional initiatives, or mentoring and developing analysts.

Responsibilities

Apply established quality-control standards to operational processes, recurring reports, dashboards, and client deliverables.
Perform quality reviews, data validation, reconciliations, and trend analysis to identify errors, inconsistencies, and emerging risks.
Document findings, determine whether issues are isolated or recurring, and partner with stakeholders to support corrective actions.
Monitor adherence to approved business rules, contractual requirements, service level expectations, and departmental procedures.
Collaborate with operations, quality, compliance, reporting, and technical teams to define business metrics and reporting requirements.
Develop and maintain operational, quality, compliance, and management dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau.
Write and enhance SQL queries used for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and recurring reporting.
Use Python or comparable scripting tools to support data preparation, automation, repeatable validation, and analytical review.
Define and maintain KPI calculations, thresholds, exception views, report logic, and supporting documentation.
Validate reporting outputs against source systems and approved requirements, investigate discrepancies, and document assumptions and limitations.
Facilitate requirements-gathering discussions and translate business needs into business rules, data definitions, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and implementation tasks.
Support reporting and process improvements through testing, implementation, user education, stabilization, and measurement of results.
Coordinate quality, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, tracking risks, dependencies, and issues requiring leadership attention.
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to operational leaders, clients, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Share reporting, analytics, and quality-control expertise with team members and contribute to standardized practices, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
