Quality Control / Quality Analyst Technician

PlantibleEldorado, TX
$50,000 - $60,000Hybrid

About The Position

We are looking for a QA/QC Technician to join our growing Food Safety & Quality team. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure that raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products consistently meet Plantible Foods’ food safety, quality, and product specification requirements. The role will also support compliance with FSMA Preventive Controls, FSSC 22000, Gluten-Free, Halal, Kosher, and Non-GMO certification programs. Beyond laboratory testing, you will be an active partner to our manufacturing teams—conducting GEMBA walks, coaching employees on food safety expectations, and helping identify and resolve quality issues before they impact our products.

  • Previous experience in a laboratory, QA/QC, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment preferred; relevant academic laboratory, internship, or co-op experience may also be considered.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing, sample preparation, analytical calculations, dilutions, and accurate data recording.
  • Experience with spectrophotometers, pH meters, analytical balances, moisture testing, or similar laboratory instrumentation is a huge plus.
  • Basic understanding of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and contamination control; training will be provided as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of microbiology and environmental monitoring is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to recognize unusual results, follow established procedures, and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work closely with production teams to reinforce food safety and GMP expectations.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with Operations and Quality teams.
  • Comfortable working in both a laboratory and active manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn new analytical methods, equipment, and food safety systems in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Know how to build strong and trusted relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions.
  • A nimble mindset, embracing the speed and ambiguity of a startup environment.
  • Some prior experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
