About The Position
Dubose National Energy Fasteners & Machined Parts are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Manager for their Cleveland, Ohio location. DuBose National Energy (DNES) is a major, strategic supplier of metal and metal products to the international nuclear and domestic military industries; including utilities, component manufacturers, contractors, & shipyards. You will find our products in most every nuclear power plant in the United States and many plants abroad. DNES is part of the largest steel distributor group in North America, Reliance, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor QC technicians
- Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and advanced inspection systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications including GD&T
- Experience in performing mechanical inspections required.
- Quality inspection: 3 years (Required).
Nice To Haves
- Experience performing destructive and non‑destructive testing is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead the QC team and manage daily priorities to ensure efficient workflow
- Direct, supervise, and support all inspection and testing activities
- Review and interpret product specifications to perform accurate and compliant quality checks
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection systems
- Perform destructive testing, including OES chemistry analysis, tensile testing, and hardness testing
- Oversee calibration and management of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IMTE)
- Document Nonconforming Material Reports (NCR) for any nonconforming product
- Assist the QA Manager with NCR, Corrective Action and containment activity
- Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain quality and ensure compliance
- Record test data, maintain inspection logs, and generate detailed quality reports
- Drive continuous improvement activities focused on eliminating waste, improving productivity, and enhancing process performance.
