Quality Control Manager
About The Position
The Quality Control Manager oversees, facilitates, and implements the Quality Management System (QMS) for Yancey Engineered Solutions (YES), a division of Yancey Bros. Co. The role maintains ISO 9001-2015 accreditation and manages quality procedures, metrics, continuous improvement activities, budgets, and warranty calls. The position also involves travel to meetings, customer sites, and vendors, along with participation in required safety programs and other tasks assigned by management. The successful candidate has quality control management and ISO 9001 experience, strong accountability and initiative, advanced problem-solving skills, drive, and attention to detail. A bachelor's degree and/or five years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing or related industry experience is required. A valid Class C driver's license and driving record acceptable to company standards are also required.
Requirements
- Prior experience with quality control management and ISO 9001.
- Bachelor's degree and/or five years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing or related industry experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015.
- Basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to comprehend, speak, and write English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person and over the telephone.
- Ability to read, analyze, and communicate information and effectively ask and answer questions from customers, employees, and upper management.
- Ability to communicate professionally and comfortably with customers, employees, and management.
- Skill in basic computer applications and required operating programs.
- Valid Class C driver's license and driving record acceptable to company standards.
- Superior customer service skills, pride, and ownership.
- Strong accountability and initiative, advanced problem-solving skills, drive, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the Quality Management System.
- Maintain ISO 9001-2015 accreditation.
- Process and file phase inspection procedures on custom-fabricated fuel tanks and generator enclosures.
- Track and record Quality Management metrics, including customer satisfaction surveys, non-conformance, corrective actions, and safety.
- Track and record continuous improvement cards.
- Set budgets and manage warranty calls.
- Travel to meetings, customer sites, and vendors.
- Participate in required safety programs and work in a safe manner.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
