About The Position
The position is responsible for taking full control of the CQC plan for Sauer on a project at the Norfolk Naval Station VA. The individual will be responsible for the overall management of the CQC plan and will have full authority to act in all QC matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
- 5 years’ DOD experience
- 10 years’ experience as a QC Manager on similar projects
- Certificate for “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” from USACE
- 30 Hour OSHA in construction
- Excellent knowledge of quality control inspection standards, procedures and applicable codes required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with many Subcontractors
- Plan days and weeks in advance
- Conduct QCM weekly meetings in a highly professional manner and instill confidence in client in the QC operations
- Perform/coordinate inspections
- Upload and manage QC data on a daily basis
- Perform submittal review functions
- Complete required daily documentation
