About The Position

Quality Control Manager We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our Cherrypoint, NC team! As our Quality Control Manager, you will work with our production teams in our Surface Technologies facility, specializing in laser peening. You will be responsible for all aspects of the quality management system, including being the first point of contact for all quality concerns. Requirements

  • Technical expertise – ability to learn and understand the coating and laser peening process and work with engineers and production team.
  • Experience with AS9100 audits.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Quality Management
  • 4-6 years of management experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must pass a standard eye examination. Near vision: Snellen 14/18 or better (20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches or greater, Ortho Rater 8 or equivalent).
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DCMA -8210.
  • Experience with special processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in adherence to and maintenance of all external quality initiatives.
  • Act as the quality authority.
  • Manage the QMS system, including organizing management reviews, and document control.
  • Internal audits (supervising and leading).
  • Responsible for external audits (AS9100, DCMA -8210)
  • Provide investigation and development of corrective action plans, as needed, for all non-conformance of facility processing activities.
  • Participate in all facility Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Provides supervision of personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations related to quality and process issues.
  • Maintain and innovate a robust and detailed training plan for employees.
  • Responsible for 8 direct reports across 2 sites.
  • Ability to travel to two sister locations as required, including U.S. military bases.
