About The Position

As the person in charge of quality control of completed vehicles, this role involves planning, coordinating, and directing team activities to drive quality improvement. The position requires recommending actions and monitoring technical processes related to completed vehicle inspection to meet Quality and Production goals. Key responsibilities include analyzing quality indicators, researching quality issues to determine root cause, executing quality inspection and improvement activities for mass-produced vehicles, and ensuring high quality and conformity to international standards. The role also involves establishing/improving inspection methods, developing and maintaining inspection standards, analyzing vehicle problems, facilitating improvement activities, managing quality facilities/equipment, coordinating plant-wide quality promotion, preparing for external events, and participating in new vehicle projects and launch phase quality-gate meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of related job experience
  • Experience in Auto manufacturing, new model launch, and Quality control highly preferred
  • Skills/ knowledge: Word, Excel, Power Point

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct team activities related to quality control of completed vehicles.
  • Recommend actions and drive quality improvement through coordination, monitoring, and performing specialized technical processes related to completed vehicle inspection.
  • Analyze internal and external quality indicators and determine quality trends to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, & HRD metrics.
  • Research and investigate quality issues to determine root cause.
  • Execute and implement quality inspection and improvement activities of mass-produced vehicles.
  • Conduct activities to identify new vehicle projects and analyze completed vehicles to ensure high quality and conformity to international standards.
  • Assure inspection of materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions.
  • Establish/improve inspection methods and prevent leakage/flow out of post-processes.
  • Utilize team to develop, maintain, and ensure standards and criteria for Line Inspection provide a sound and secure inspection system for a defect-free vehicle.
  • Analyze the cause of vehicle problems, conduct improvement activities, audit, and prepare/implement quality meetings.
  • Review early customer statistical, historical, internal and external quality data to prioritize, drive and track inspection improvements in new and current models.
  • Facilitate, recommend actions, and drive improvement through the quality and production departments for completed vehicle quality and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage quality facility/equipment, investment cost execution/management, and supplementary investment establishment.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and/or participate in plant-wide quality promotion activities and ensure effective communication between all key stakeholders.
  • Prepare, consult, and coordinate external events.
  • Participate in new vehicle projects, including preparation for inspection, establishment of quality securing plans, and response to evaluation.
  • Coordinate new model launch phase quality-gate meetings for review and analysis of issues of equipment and/or standards.
