About The Position

Belle Aire Creations is seeking a capable Quality Lead for its Third Shift due to increasing business activity. Our Quality Leads are specialists focused on validating incoming raw materials through the production process and into finished goods. This role involves overseeing current production processes using various raw test methods to ensure compliance and managing sample order lists. The Quality Lead will support the fragrance manufacturing process in collaboration with Production Staff, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, and sample fulfillment staff. Quality Technicians report to the Quality Manager of their respective shift, under the direction of the Senior Quality Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma required, Associate or bachelor degree preferred.
3-year relevant experience in QC, production lab, or analytical lab environment.
Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes (GMP’s).
Ability to work well under pressure.
Deadline oriented.
Proficiency in using common PC applications.
Excellent ability to work with others.
Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form.
Vocalize and explain detailed data and problem-solve, both in-person and by telephone.
Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Compose routine correspondence on own initiative.
Make comprehensive notes in English.
Must have ability to work well under pressure.
Send follow-up emails and provide requested documentation to other departments.
Maintain clear and timely communication with other departments, providing status updates as needed.
Assist with work scheduling as directed by the Quality Manager.
Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support as needed.
Must be able to lift 40-lbs onto waist high shelves.
Must be able to lift and carry a min of 25lbs.
Employee will frequently use fingers, walk and distinguish basic colors.
Employee will continuously use both hands, sit for extended periods of time, and use rapid or well-developed coordination simultaneously.
Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment.
Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly.

Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling sample work as directed by Operations managers.
Be point of contact for 3rd QC lab functions to Senior managers of operations department.
Responsible for QC tech productivity by regular reporting to Operations managers.
Perform manual testing of rush samples.
Test and verify incoming raw materials to ensure correct identification and release.
Conduct preliminary odor evaluations on finished batches.
Pull micro samples for laboratory testing.
Load samples onto GC machines for analysis.
Conduct viscosity and pH testing as required.
Quarantine materials that are out of specification or range.
Oversee proper disposal of expired materials/products.
Implementation of safe work practices.
Adhere to Belle Aire Creations PTO policy.
