About The Position

Full Steam Staffing is NOW hiring a Quality Control Lead in Firebaugh, CA. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Quality Control Lead to join our production team in Firebaugh, CA. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards of product safety and quality. As the QC Lead, you will bridge the gap between management and frontline technicians—monitoring production processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and mentoring junior QC staff. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you! You will be active on the production floor, balancing hands-on inspections with essential administrative and documentation tasks. You will guide and support a team of QC technicians, helping to coordinate shift tasks and ensure testing accuracy. You will communicate directly with supervisors, production staff, and warehouse teams to resolve quality deviations or process issues quickly.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance (experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or agricultural environment is highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with GMPs, SOPs, and basic safety/regulatory concepts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; basic computer literacy (Word, Excel) for inputting reports.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35–50 lbs regularly throughout a shift in a production facility environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Weekend availability depending on production demands
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).

  • Prior experience leading, coaching, or training a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day quality control operations on your assigned shift.
  • Perform and verify standard QC tests, inspections, and audits (pre-operational, in-process, and finished goods).
  • Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Train, mentor, and provide feedback to junior quality control technicians.
  • Document and maintain accurate daily production logs, inspection notes, and compliance paperwork.
  • Identify quality or process defects, initiate hold/release procedures, and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
