Lead - Quality Control

The Quality Control Lead will oversee packaging operations and employees to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance. This role adheres to customer specifications and delivery requirements, working in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.
Requirements

- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment

- MS Office Experience Required
- Auditing Experience Required
Nice To Haves
- 3-6 years Quality Control experience preferred
- ISO 9001/BRC Experience highly Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform and document hourly inspections and run profile, retain samples per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Create/document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Monitor production, including packaging, for defects and inaccuracies per quality standards; correct and report any non-conformities and initiate hold procedure when needed
- Train Packers on Quality Control/Assurance Control(QC) SOP; regularly conduct audits to ensure quality inspections are being performed
- Work with Operations to resolve issues per QC SOP’s
- Communicate effectively with upcoming shift to ensure smooth handoff; keep open dialogue with staff to minimize delays
- Help to identify raw material defects, captures relevant information (lot codes, samples, etc.) and forward to X
- Conduct Investigations and Root Cause analysis
