Quality Control Lab Technician - Pacoima, CA
About The Position
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician will be responsible for receiving samples and performing laboratory testing in compliance with established specifications and standard operating procedures. This role involves scheduling batches for testing, recording test data, assembling and generating routine reports on quality control testing, and making decisions on production batch approval or rejection. The technician will also determine necessary batch adjustments, maintain laboratory equipment, collaborate with other technicians to meet deadlines, and follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience as a laboratory technician OR 2 years of college education in chemistry.
Responsibilities
- Receive samples and perform laboratory testing in compliance with established specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Schedule batches for testing.
- Record test data into log books.
- Assemble and generate routine reports on quality control testing.
- Approve or reject production batches.
- Determine proper batch adjustments to be made if needed.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and tools in clean, safe, and good conditions.
- Work with other technicians to complete laboratory tasks within assigned timelines.
- Follow proper waste disposal and recycling methodologies.
