Quality Control Laboratory Technician I

The purpose of the Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician is to support the daily activities of the QC Laboratory. This includes but not limited to donor source material inspections, review of send out testing, laboratory testing preparations. The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:00pm
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific field including general lab experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a GMP environment
- Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
- Can work independently and in a team setting
- Strong communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Perform functions efficiently to meet deadlines as established
- Adaptable to fast work pace and shifting priorities/project timelines
- Experience with MS Office applications
- Follow procedures as written
- Strong technical writing skills
Responsibilities
- Perform work in a GMP environment
- Perform daily source material inspections
- Electronic database entry and review activities
- Source material scrapping
- Daily review of pooled sample send-out documentation
- Laboratory testing preparation activities (e.g. saline conical tube preparation)
- Weekly laboratory cleaning
- Logging drug product samples received from Production
- Initiate laboratory incidents and deviations when necessary
- Lab supply inventory management and restocking
- Support equipment general maintenance activities
- Any other duties as assigned for business reasons
