Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology or other related science field
- 1-year related laboratory work experience or related education.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as laboratory procedure manuals, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions.
- Ability to write detailed technical work instructions and reports.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests on samples by following standard test methods, SOPs and cGLPs and cGMPs.
- Laboratory tests include but are not limited to preparing samples for microbiology testing, running samples, analyzing and recording data performing daily quality checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Building laboratory associated databases.
- Watch inventory of laboratory consumables, reagents, and assist in preparing/ordering them when needed.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments and tools and be aware of the calibration needs of the equipment.
- Fill out laboratory paperwork and help keep laboratory paperwork organized.
- Keep laboratory clean and neat at all times.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Assist the QC Manager and Laboratory Technicians when needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
