About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections to ensure materials, components, assemblies, and finished products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role supports the quality management system through accurate inspections, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues prior to product release.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity of quality standards and inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and weld symbols is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Further technical education or certification in quality control is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute quality inspection activities in accordance with established quality plans, procedures, and work instructions throughout the production process.
  • Create and Maintain Inspection Documentation: Complete inspection checklists, reports, measurements, and photographic documentation accurately and consistently to support traceability and compliance requirements.
  • Identify nonconforming material or processes, document findings, and communicate issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner to prevent the release of nonconforming products.
  • Perform thorough inspections of all finished units to ensure they comply with the bill of material specifications, confirming that the units have no deficiencies prior to release for delivery to customers.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, including photographs, measurements, and completed checklists, organized by serial numbers and job numbers. Utilize company Quality Control software to document inspection results and track quality data.
  • Support a culture of quality by communicating standards, expectations, and inspection results across the production environment.
  • Perform final inspections and verifications to confirm products meet all quality requirements prior to approval for shipment or release.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while performing inspection activities.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Compliance & Quality Manager to support the overall quality program, including participating in audits, assisting with supplier quality issues, and engaging in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices.
