About The Position
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards. This role also supports RMA processing, documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of QC, inspection, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers and gauges
- Ability to follow procedures, specifications, and engineering drawings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP/data entry systems
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on incoming supplier deliveries, picked parts, and finished assembled products
- Develop proficiency in QC processes, inspection tools, and quality procedures
- Support production schedules in coordination with the QC team
- Follow inspection procedures accurately and consistently
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records and documentation
- Inspect and evaluate returned materials to identify defects, damage, or causes of failure
- Record RMA findings and communicate results with QC Supervisor and Engineering teams
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to support RMA processing
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Participate in cross-training across multiple inspection areas
- Provide feedback on workflow improvements and inspection practices
- Support implementation of new quality processes, tools, and initiatives
