About The Position

ABW has an immediate opening for an NDE Level II currently certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A in one or more of the following methods: MT, PT, UT, MSLT, or AWS CWI. This is a full-time position at our fabrication facility in Arlington, Washington. ABW is a leader in the Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear and Energy industries. Requirements

  • NDE Level II currently certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A in one or more of the following methods: MT, PT, UT, MSLT, or AWS CWI
  • Must have proof of classroom and OJT hours for NDT certifications
  • Must be willing to work Over time as needed
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a high pace environment
  • Willingness to grow and achieve additional certifications / training as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong ethical standards with a desire to maintain a high level of quality
  • Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM) / Romer arms for automated quality inspections
  • Performs inspections and tests per QC Manual, QA Manual, procedures, instructions, drawings, and travelers at specified stages in production process
  • Inspects and/or tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality of products or materials
  • Records inspection and test data
  • Evaluates inspection and/or test data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing manuals, procedures, instructions, drawings, or travelers
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production manuals, procedures, instructions, drawings, or travelers to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
  • Sets up and performs nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance or material characteristics, as applicable
