About The Position

This role involves performing industrial QC inspections, with a strong emphasis on supporting mechanical, piping, welding, and pressure testing activities. The inspector will be responsible for various technical inspections and documentation, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements. Previous turnaround experience in relevant industrial environments is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial QC inspection experience.
  • Experience supporting mechanical, piping, welding, and pressure testing activities.
  • Technical experience including weld visual inspection and weld repair tracking.
  • Technical experience including piping fabrication, installation, testing, and final turnover inspections.
  • Technical experience including pressure vessel, exchanger, tower, mechanical connections and rotating equipment inspections.
  • Technical experience including review and verification of material traceability documentation and MTRs.
  • Technical experience including inspection report preparation and turnover package documentation.
  • Familiarity with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.
  • Knowledge of ASME Section VIII fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3 piping requirements.
  • Knowledge of welding symbols, fabrication drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous turnaround experience in refineries, petrochemical facilities, LNG plants, power plants, or related industrial environments.
  • AWS CWI certification.
  • ASNT Level II VT, PT, or MT certification.
  • API 510 or API 570 certification.
  • TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

  • Perform industrial QC inspections.
  • Support mechanical, piping, welding, and pressure testing activities.
  • Conduct weld visual inspections and track weld repairs.
  • Perform inspections on piping fabrication, installation, testing, and final turnover.
  • Inspect pressure vessels, exchangers, towers, mechanical connections, and rotating equipment.
  • Review and verify material traceability documentation and MTRs.
  • Prepare inspection reports and turnover package documentation.
  • Familiarize with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.
