About The Position

As a Quality Inspector, you play a big part on the team by performing extensive dimensional inspections using various gauges to uphold quality standards and tolerances. Your day will be spent inspecting, approving, and maintaining standards of machined parts and components, as well as calibrating all precision shop tools. Requirements

  • Computer literate, good communication, excellent math skills, and ability to work with Excel
  • Must be 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and be detail-oriented
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in quality control and experience in machining precision metal components
  • Willingness and understanding that you will get dirty at times and may have to work with chemicals
  • Skill in working with your hands, tools (must provide your own), and other instruments
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day, and work under pressure at times
  • Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
  • Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read blueprints & instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product
  • Select output samples & check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.)
  • Ability to use electronic/dial indicators, micrometers, surface plates, CMM, and Vision System
  • Hand lapping of various components
  • Assist others within the department, train new personnel, and work overtime when needed
  • Follow directions from team leads, supervisors, and managers; be proactive
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; be at your workstation on time daily
