About The Position

Syndeo is seeking a highly detailed, analytical, and self-motivated Quality Control Inspector for a local aircraft sheet metal fabrication and assembly facility. In this role, you will monitor active production lines, utilize precision measuring instruments, and perform thorough standard inspections to certify that raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods are in compliance with engineering blueprints, customer expectations, and internal quality metrics. This is a direct-hire opportunity with both 1st and 2nd shift positions available, offering long-term stability and career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools, including calipers and other metrology equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation, reporting, and data tracking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to report quality issues and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced production environment with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Eddy Current and First Article Inspection (FAI) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously audit active production lines to verify that raw materials and finalized goods securely match established safety, customer, and design specification standards.
  • Accurately set up, routinely calibrate, and skillfully operate specialized technical inspection equipment, including Eddy current scopes, precision calipers, micrometers, and other specialized dimensional measurement instrumentation.
  • Directly evaluate physical products and component outputs against official engineering prints, manufacturing blueprints, and schematics to confirm geometric and operational accuracy.
  • Execute formal visual, dimensional, and functional testing activities strictly tailored to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and product compliance logs.
  • Identify, segregate, and thoroughly document any product nonconformances.
  • Systematically log precise inspection and testing metrics inside organized Microsoft Excel spreadsheets according to the facility sampling plan.
