About The Position

At Preci Manufacturing, your attention to detail helps ensure precision components meet the requirements our customers depend on. We manufacture parts for aerospace, defense, and other demanding industries, where accuracy and workmanship matter. Preci Manufacturing has operated from its current Winooski, Vermont, location since 1978. Our capabilities include CNC milling and turning, precision grinding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), deep hole drilling, gear cutting, and thread rolling. We produce precision components and assemblies, including critical fasteners for military and commercial aircraft, and work with alloys such as Inconel and Hastelloy. Our AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications reflect our commitment to quality, with our inspectors helping ensure parts meet exacting requirements. As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll put your measuring skills and technical knowledge to work inspecting precision parts, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with production teammates to resolve quality concerns. Requirements

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior quality inspection or quality assurance experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with CMM and vision inspection systems.
  • Relevant training in blueprint reading, GD&T, precision measurement, CMM operation, or a certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished parts against specifications.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM equipment, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensions and tolerances, identify defects, and confirm quality requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and process sheets.
  • Record inspection results, maintain accurate quality documentation, and create and track nonconformance reports when needed.
  • Work with production teams to resolve quality concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Help improve quality processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
