About The Position

Seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for a growing plastic injection molding manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting molded plastic components, identifying defects, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting plastic molded products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and company procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to identify defects in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • Previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous plastic injection molding experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect plastic molded parts and assemblies to verify conformance to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects such as flash, short shots, cracks, discoloration, contamination, warping, and other non-conformities.
  • Utilize measuring instruments and inspection tools, including calipers, gauges, and other quality equipment.
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Segregate, label, and report non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns and production issues to supervisors and production personnel.
  • Conduct in-process and final product inspections as required.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
