About The Position

Broadridge is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join its team in El Dorado Hills, California. The inspector reviews random samples of finished work against specified criteria to verify that production processes are in control and produce quality work. Inspection results are entered into a database for Production Operations to use in quality-improvement efforts. Inspectors are typically the final reviewers of work before it enters the mail stream. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, plus every other Wednesday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The position pays $19.00–$20.25 per hour and is bonus eligible. The work takes place in a fast-paced, noisy environment; earplugs are provided and required. Flexibility may be needed to meet volume needs, including working weekends, holidays, or overtime.

Requirements

Typically requires 1–3 years of related experience.
General familiarity with computers, including MS Outlook.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort interacting with higher management.
Ability to work under some pressure.
Ability to lift mail trays weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to work effectively with various individuals and groups of people.
Flexibility in work schedule based on volume needs, potentially including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of jobs produced in the area of responsibility, including checks of print quality, statement integrity, and postage accuracy.
Confirm that Production Operations processes are in control.
Communicate and escalate errors to production staff as necessary and assist with recovery.
Enter data from each applicable inspection into a dedicated database.
Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned.
