About The Position

This role is responsible for enforcing company standards and specifications through the inspection of inbound and outbound product to the warehouse. The Quality Control Inspector will minimize food safety risk issues by enforcing quality control policies and procedures at the point of receiving. This position will also assist receivers with validation of receiving weights, compliance with temperature guidelines, and enforcement of sell and pack dates policies. The inspector will monitor vendor compliance with quality control policies and ensure the company meets all governmental policies and regulations regarding food safety. Additionally, the role involves monitoring quality through item specification checks and yield evaluations, making recommendations for the disbursement of distressed product, and maintaining records of product spoilage.

Requirements

  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Previous wholesale management, and/or retail produce experience required.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and adhere to strict standards regarding product.
  • Ability to commute/relocate to Tolleson, AZ 85353: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Company is in compliance with all governmental policies and that regulations regarding food safety issues are met.
  • Monitor quality through item specification checks and yield evaluations.
  • Make recommendations to management for the disbursement of distressed product.
  • Maintain records of product spoilage and recap to management.
