About The Position

This role is responsible for enforcing company standards and specifications through the inspection of inbound and outbound product to the warehouse. The Produce Quality Control Inspector will minimize food safety risk issues through enforcement of quality control policies and procedures at the point of receiving. This position will assist receivers with validation of receiving weights and compliance with temperature guidelines, as well as the enforcement of sell and pack dates policies. The inspector will notify and monitor vendor compliance of quality control policies and ensure that the Company is in compliance with all governmental policies and regulations regarding food safety issues. This role will monitor quality through item specification checks and yield evaluations and make recommendations to management for the disbursement of distressed product. The inspector will also maintain records of product spoilage and recap to management.

Requirements

  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Previous wholesale management, and/or retail produce experience required.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and adhere to strict standards regarding product.
  • Ability to commute/relocate to Tolleson, AZ 85353: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
