About The Position
Apache Fabricators is seeking a Quality Control Inspector with hands-on fabrication shop experience. Candidates must have experience inspecting weldments, structural steel components, and fabricated assemblies. This position is not intended for warehouse, food manufacturing, or medical device quality backgrounds.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of QC inspection experience in a fabrication shop environment.
- Experience inspecting structural steel, weldments, or fabricated assemblies.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspections and quality standards.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- CWI certification or pursuit of certification.
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Structural steel or heavy industrial fabrication experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated products.
- Inspect welds, fit-up, dimensions, and assemblies to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
- Verify material traceability and documentation.
- Complete inspection reports and quality records.
- Identify and document non-conforming products.
- Work closely with production personnel to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Utilize measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.
