About The Position
Individual will work as part of the Quality Department, the QC Inspector will perform visual inspection of finished good parts and completion of documentation to verify compliance to specification; ensure conformance to requirements through the use of calibrated measuring equipment and visual inspection; and interpret part drawings and specifications, and reference company work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gage, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gage blocks, thread gages, torque drivers, and comparative standards.
- Visual inspection experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Independent; can work with limited supervision and direction.
- Attention to detail.
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing in-process and final inspection preferably in a defense, automotive or aerospace business, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect finished good parts for compliance to specification.
- Basic assembly drawings & shop math (Trigonometry)
- Review Bill of Materials for completeness and accuracy including accessories and spare parts sales orders
- Review completeness of packing lists
- Ensure packaging is adequate
- Review. Sign-off Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) reports
- Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)
- Complete Discrepant Material Report (DMR) forms for rejected parts.
- Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Verify product identification and traceability.
- Visual inspection of finished parts
- Generate Certificate of Compliance
