About The Position

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join their OQC team. This role involves conducting thorough inspections of electronic and mechanical parts and processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to proper procedures during manufacturing and testing. The inspector will also investigate quality issues and collaborate with engineering and suppliers on improvements. This is a fully onsite position, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in West Los Angeles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of electronic part inspection experience.
  • Proficient experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
  • Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
  • Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to details, with the capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication.

  • Ability to recognize the importance of processes and procedures and follow them accordingly.
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands.
  • Effectively evaluate workload and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactively recognize challenges or risks and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
  • Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
  • Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
  • Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain Quality documentation.
  • Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.
