About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector IV is an expert in inspection and quality control processes, responsible for overseeing the quality assurance program. This role involves leading complex inspections, developing quality control standards, and providing strategic recommendations to improve product quality. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 5+ Years experience in Quality Control or related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Expert proficiency in quality control principles and inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings.
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Advanced understanding of finished goods inspection.
  • Extensive experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES.
  • In-depth understanding of material flow in operations.
  • Extensive experience drafting work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Certified in Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
  • Considerable knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Standing for extended periods during inspections.
  • Dexterity to handle small parts and use inspection tools.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead complex inspections of materials, parts, and products.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
  • Document and record comprehensive inspection results, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the quality control team.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Lead quality control training programs for staff.
  • Develop and manage quality control documentation and training materials.
  • Participate in high-level quality audits and represent the company in external engagements.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in inspection technology to continuously improve quality processes.
