About The Position

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector-I to join their OQC team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of electronic and mechanical parts throughout the incoming, manufacturing, and testing processes. The inspector will conduct thorough inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and investigate quality issues, collaborating with engineering and suppliers to drive improvements. This is a fully on-site position located at the Salt Lake City facility, operating Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of electronic part inspection experience.
  • Experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
  • Ability to read basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
  • Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
  • Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and capacity to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • Successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
  • Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
  • Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
  • Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain Quality documentation.
  • Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
