About The Position

The Quality Control Indexing Technician is responsible for ensuring that all patient medical records and loose documents are prepped, scanned, indexed and imported into the electronic medical record (Epic) with the highest level of quality. They are responsible for managing the workflow in both the paper-based environment and the electronic medical record while maintaining the quality, accuracy, completeness and security of the patient’s medical record per departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer skills
• Keyboarding 30-40 wpm
• Communication skills
• Customer Service skills

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience specializing in medical office
• Experience utilizing Epic electronic record.
• Medical terminology
• Terminal digit order filing
