Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate's degree in a technical field or relevant quality certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Competent in using various precision measurement tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Verify incoming documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (CoA) or Certificates of Conformance (CoC), against purchase order requirements and internal specifications.
  • Utilize various inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators) to accurately assess material characteristics.
  • Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials, initiating Material Review Board (MRB) processes when necessary.
  • Record and maintain accurate inspection data, test results, and quality records in the designated quality management system or databases.
  • Communicate inspection results and potential quality issues to relevant departments, including Purchasing, Production, and Engineering, in a timely manner.
