About The Position

As a Quality Control Engineer at Tutor Perini Corp, reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will perform or assist in a variety of quality control engineering and inspection work related to a specific discipline, i.e., civil, structural, mechanical, piping, welding, NDE and/or electrical. You will inspect to contract specifications the quality of construction, submittals, testing procedures, etc. You will develop an understanding/working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work. You will perform inspections and witness tests applicable to the discipline to determine acceptability of work. You will assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records, and other related items; assure correctness of all documents. You will assist in the preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc. You will assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules. You will participate in internal/external quality control audits. You will assist in reviewing purchase documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements. You will perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required.
  • An understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance, construction submittals, testing procedures, and inspection of electrical components and electrical work related to train control systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop in-depth understanding of QA/QC manuals and programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
  • Work experience in all disciplines of construction (civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) preferred.
