HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: We are seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee and enhance the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The primary responsibilities of this role include maintaining quality standards, developing quality control systems, and identifying corrective actions. The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with Branch Managers and Supervisors at our upfit locations to implement quality measures effectively. This position includes regular travel to our upfitting facilities to support inspections, audits, and quality initiatives. Its an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands - on work, building strong relationships across teams, and ensuring consistent, high - quality standards throughout our operation. Travel is planned in advance and supported by the team to help ensure smooth, productive trips.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to discuss complex abstract issues, contracts, and specifications with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work in an environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, loud noise, and moderate temperature variations.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical background in Quality or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Competency in probability, statistical inference, trigonometry, algebra, and geometry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, and establish facts.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with the company's quality assurance standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control systems.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
  • Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that contribute to the success of the position.
