About The Position

Support manufacturing operations in the Machining and Anodizing areas by applying Quality practices, methodologies, and tools with a “Zero Defects” mindset, ensuring compliance with product, process, and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machining and automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with technical drawings (Blueprints), PPAP, GD&T, Control Plans, and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of MRB processes, scrap management, and disposition procedures.
  • Experience with GR&R studies and process capability analysis.
  • Proven experience in problem-solving using the 8D methodology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of internal and external audits and corrective action implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Engineering experience in a machining or manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or precision machining.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and other applicable international quality standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMM and ERP systems (Oracle) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to address quality issues and other related matters.
  • Provide technical support to Receiving Inspection, In-Process Quality, and Final Inspection areas, including issuing Quality Alerts when necessary.
  • Perform print feasibility analyses, including GD&T analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Bubble Drawings, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans, and generate PPAP documentation for NPI and insourced parts.
  • Monitor MRB status daily (Stock Sweeps and PIRs) and perform dispositions as applicable.
  • Generate scrap metrics and propose actions to reduce scrap levels.
  • Conduct GR&R studies and process capability analyses (Pp, Ppk, Cp, Cpk).
  • Lead problem-solving activities using the 8D methodology and root cause analysis.
  • Act as a mentor to Quality Engineer I team members, supporting product and process compliance with engineering drawings, internal standards, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in training sessions, audits, and initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
