Requirements

  • Quality Control Auditors must have hand/eye coordination and ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Quality Control Auditors must also be able to complete task in a timely manner with a high attention to detail.
  • The ability to understand and communicate information is essential.
  • Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Lifts pallets for inspection to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Inspect pallets for defects, damages, and inconsistencies in materials or assembly.
  • Utilize tools and equipment to correct minor issues and verify dimensions, weight, and other quality parameters of pallets.
  • Identify and document any deviations from quality standards.
  • Communicates inspections results and quality issues with production teams and supervisors.
  • Adheres to PCP standards and guidelines.
  • Partners with Quality Lead to ensure plant compliance of quality practices and continuous and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support during audits and inspections.
  • Lift and carry 77 lbs at least 33% of their work shift.
  • Push items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet.
  • Pull items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Uses a hammer and/or saw to correct quality issues in the assembly pallets.
  • Quality department places pallet on rollers, lifts pallet to examine pallet, removes defective boards, and corrects nail related issues.
  • In an assembly department understands pallet specifications and modification necessary for customers.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting jams, and basic maintenance of quality control station, as well as fully versed in PCP program.
  • Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time.
  • Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 50-75 lbs.
  • Equipment and tools must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
