About The Position

The Food Quality Control Auditor is responsible for conducting quality evaluations of products and practices according to procedures and specifications. This role also involves food safety activities such as CCP monitoring, GMP/Process auditing, and product sampling. Additionally, the auditor will perform regulatory activities including microbiological swabbing and label verifications. The position requires communication with operations personnel to resolve issues, ensuring proper handling of products and services that do not meet requirements, and assisting in monitoring departmental and plant-wide goals for quality improvement, efficiency maximization, and cost minimization.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete required documentation, including the use of tables, PCs, and scanners.
  • Ability to tolerate temperatures of 25 degrees or >90F or below for the entire shift and lift 35lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts Quality Evaluations of products and practices according to procedures and specifications.
  • Conducts Food Safety activities CCP, monitoring GMP/Process auditing and product sampling.
  • Conducts Regulatory activities for Microbiological swabbing and Label verifications.
  • Communicates with the appropriate operations personnel to resolve day-to-day problems.
  • Assures the proper handling of products and services when not meeting Hormel and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in the monitoring of departmental and plant-wide goals to improve quality, maximize efficiencies and minimize costs.
