As an Assembly Inspector, you’re the final checkpoint ensuring every mechanical and electromechanical assembly meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and craftsmanship. In this role, you’ll be hands‑on with advanced assemblies, perform detailed inspections at key stages of the build, and be the quality expert that keeps production running smoothly. Your work helps prevent defects, drives consistent quality, and supports safe, compliant manufacturing operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical certificates, vocational training, or military technical experience
  • Experience in mechanical assembly, quality inspection, or technical related work
  • Hands‑on experience with precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand basic GD&T
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
  • Must be tested for the absence of any illegal drug prior to an offer of employment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of assembly sequencing and fastener requirements
  • Familiarity with inspection plans and digital inspection tools
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment
  • Basic understanding of calibration and measurement systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, verifying torque, and checking critical dimensions using precision tools.
  • Apply GD&T principles.
  • Confirm labeling and traceability.
  • Ensure workmanship meets all specifications.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
  • Identify and report defects.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technicians, engineers, and supervisors.
  • Keep tools calibrated and in good condition.
  • Support measurement system checks.
  • Ensure no assembly moves forward without proper inspection release.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams.
  • Participate in briefings.
  • Raise concerns proactively.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
