Quality Control Assembly Inspector

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certificates, vocational training, or military technical experience
- Experience in mechanical assembly, quality inspection, or technical related work
- Hands‑on experience with precision measurement tools
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand basic GD&T
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
- Must be tested for the absence of any illegal drug prior to an offer of employment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of assembly sequencing and fastener requirements
- Familiarity with inspection plans and digital inspection tools
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment
- Basic understanding of calibration and measurement systems
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, verifying torque, and checking critical dimensions using precision tools.
- Apply GD&T principles.
- Confirm labeling and traceability.
- Ensure workmanship meets all specifications.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
- Identify and report defects.
- Communicate findings clearly to technicians, engineers, and supervisors.
- Keep tools calibrated and in good condition.
- Support measurement system checks.
- Ensure no assembly moves forward without proper inspection release.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams.
- Participate in briefings.
- Raise concerns proactively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
